Tasmanian SFG: The Ghost Platoon – C.R. Daems

This series is something of a guilty pleasure. The author leans heavily on a small number of tropes: The protagonist is the only one who doesn’t jump to conclusions. She keeps encountering misogynistic officers who shout insults with no sense of political self-preservation. She keeps encountering thugs who attack her with no sense of physical self-preservation.

But it’s entertaining - and I expect the author’s next book will entertain as well.
