A comfortable book to read. The protagonist’s great-aunt runs a bed-and-breakfast that turns out to be magical, and turns out to be in severe decline. After a bumpy start, pretty-much0everything goes right, and the protagonist does pretty-much-everything right.

The book’s weakness is the supporting cast. With the partial exception of the love interest, the other characters are tissue-thin. Each can be described in a single sentence, and is uninteresting beyond that description. Basically,, each character is a problem for the protagonist to help solve.
